Openers Bins Neyoth (43 runs off 29 balls) and Upendra Yadav gave a flying start to the innings stitching a 106 run opening stand in just 11 overs. Upendra Yadav top scored for the team scoring an impressive knock of 84 runs in just 45 balls which included 6 fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 186.67
JP Sports Dombivali in reply were all out for 130 runs in 16.4 overs with Chinmay Patil at the middle order scoring 47 runs off 32 balls. From the bowlers, Arya Naik was the pick of the lot returning with bowling figures of 3/16 in 3 overs providing timely breakthroughs to his team. In Mumbai’s opening match vs Manipur, Mumbai seems to have taken a strong hold on day 1 after winning the toss and opting to bat first. After losing opener Rudra early, opener Musheer Khan stitched a 167 run stand with Armaan Jaffer who scored 88 runs at no.3. Opener Musheer remains unbeaten on 159* off 274 balls smashing 18 fours and a six and he is batting alongside in form Suved Parkar who is unbeaten on 21* with Mumbai ending Day 1 on 293/3 in 90 overs.
Continuing the innings on Day 2, Musheer went on to score a marathon innings of 267 runs facing 408 deliveries. Musheer smashed 30 fours and 2 sixes while stitched a 306 run stand for the 4th wicket with Suved Parkar who scored an equally impressive 162* off 252 balls smashing 14 fours & 3 sixes taking Mumbai’s Total to 604/6 dec in 150.2 overs. Manipur in reply are 45/3 in 29 overs and Mumbai looks in a commanding position at the end of Day 2.

On March 17, Aditya Birla Sports took on IDBI Sports Club during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. Aditya Birla Sports won the toss and elected to bowl first.
IDBI Sports Club were bowled out for a humble score of 126 in 33.1 overs, thanks to a disciplined bowling effort by Aditya Birla Sports. While Aarshil Deshmukh mustered 60 runs for IDBI Sports Club, right arm speedster Ganesh Dhone wreaked havoc with the ball as he struck with 5-28. Dhone, who opened the bowling for Aditya Birla Sports Club, ran through the opposition batting line-up in a hurry giving no chance to IDBI Sports Club’s batters to settle.
In reply, Aditya Birla Sports completed the formalities in 30.5 overs to win the match by two wickets. Pradeepkumar Pandey led the run chase with an unbeaten 49 and ensured that his team crossed the line. For IDBI Sports Club, Parag Ovhal was the pick of the bowlers as he accounted for 4-20.
Ganesh Dhone was the top performer with the ball as he helped his team, Aditya Birla Sports register a two-wicket win over IDBI Sports Club during the MCA Corporate Trophy.
Played at Islam Gymkhana in Marine Lines, Young Mohmeddan CC after being put to bat first posted a total of 168/6 in 20 overs. Jay Bista scored a solid 53 off 50 balls while Sandeep Kunchikor contributed with a quick cameo of 14 ball 27 runs. Muslim United in reply chased down the score successfully winning the match by 3 wkts in the penultimate over. The match remained exciting till the very end as Young Mohmeddan CC did gave a tough fight.
All- Rounder Dhrumil Matkar provided a crucial cameo with the bat in the final overs as he smashed 41 off 31 balls while Sachin Katkar 21 ball 41 proved to be the game changer as he smashed 4 sixes to help his team cross the victory line. Shashank Attarde (2/24) and Jay Bista with 2/24 in 4 overs were impressive with the ball however Muslim United won the match by 3 wkts.

Played at Islam Gymkhana in Marine Lines, Islam Gymkhana after being put to bat first looked least affectedj as they snitched a healthy total on board of 198/3 in 20 overs. Shubham Ranjane top scored with 51 runs while it was Musavir Khote who simply turned things around smashing fastest fifty of the tournament so far in mere 14 balls, Musavir smashed 4 fours and 5 sixes as he lit up the ground with his entertaining knock. Apart from them, Salman Ahmed (49 runs) and Kaustubh Pawar (38) also gave crucial cameos.
Police Gymkhana in reply were cleaned up for 129 runs in 17 overs with fast bowler Badree Alam returning with bowling figures of 3/26 being the pick of the lot. Islam Gymkhana won the match by 69 runs and showed they are a very very formidable side to defeat on their home turf!

Played at Dadar Union Sports Club Ground in Mumbai, CISCO opting to bat first posted a total of 145/7 in 20 overs. Even though CISCO were struggling at one stage with 80/6, it was Rohit Sharma’s 25 ball 47* at no.7 which pushed the team to a defendable total. From the bowlers, Akash Singh with 3/13 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot.
Ageas Federal in reply chased down the score with ease winning the match by 7wkts and 2.2 overs to spare. Wicket-Keeper opening batsman Vicky Patil scored a match winning century hitting an unbeaten 103* off 62 balls, an innings which included 12 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 166.13. It was a dominating win for Ageas Federal while Vicky Patil for his 103* was declared ‘man of the match’

On March 17, Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C. and The Tata Power Co. Ltd. clashed against each other during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C. won the toss and elected to bat first.
Riding on Rahul Maharana’s 58, Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C. posted a respectable score of 9-158 in 40 overs. Maharana led his team’s batting from the front to steer them to a fighting score. For the Tata Power Co. Ltd., Wilkin Mota was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged three wickets conceding just six runs.
In reply, the Tata Power Co. Ltd., managed to score 130 as they were bowled out in just 23.3 overs, losing the match by 28 runs. Omkar Maldikar starred with the ball for Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C. as he scalped 5-21. Maldikar was the wrecker-in-chief as he ran through the opposition’s batting line-up in a jiffy. Akhand Singh’s half-century went in vain as the Tata Power Co. Ltd. could not chase down the target of 159 set by Bombay Pharma Equipments C.C.

On March 17, Mahindra Logistics Limited took on United Patni Industries P.L. during the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) Corporate Trophy tournament. United Patni Industries P.L. won the toss and elected to bat first.
United Patni Industries P.L. were bundled out for a paltry 100 in just 22 overs, thanks to Pratik Gupta who wreaked havoc with the ball picking up 5-28 and helping Mahindra Logistics Limited to bowl out United Patni Industries P.L. for a modest score. Gupta ran through the opposition batting line up in a jiffy as he sent half of the side back to the pavilion all by himself.
In reply, Mahindra Logistics Limited made a mockery of the chase as they completed the formalities in just 17.5 overs, winning the match by seven wickets. The bowlers of United Patni Industries P.L. did not have any answers to the questions posed by Mahindra Logistics Limited’s batters.
