On March 15, Reliance Group Sports Club took on Union Bank of India Sports Club at Cross Maidan during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. Union Bank of India Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat first.
Union Bank of India Sports Club were bowled out for a paltry 63 in 18.1 overs. Apart from Aarya Chowkidaar (11) and Leron Samuel (12), none of the batters could score in double digits. On the other hand, Onkar Jadhav wreaked havoc with the ball picking up 5-31 in eight overs, including two maidens. Jadhav opened the bowling with Meghan Pednekar and bowled well with the new ball.
In reply, Reliance Group Sports Club made a lightwork of the chase as they completed the formalities in 7.4 overs. Rakesh Chaudhary (25 not out) and Mayuresh Tandel (26 not out) powered their team to an easy win. Furqan Charolia (1-38) was the lone wicket-taker for Union Bank of India Sports Club.

On March 23, Nirlon Sports Club locked horns against Space Sports Club. The two teams met in the second semi-final of ‘B’ Division during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. Nirlon Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat first.
Nirlon Sports Club posted a daunting total of 305 in 69.2 overs. Riding on Sourabh Singh’s scintillating century, Nirlon Sports Club were able to go past the 300-run mark. Singh muscled 116 runs and received good support from Amogh Bhatkal (66). On the other hand, Abhishek Chourasia and Deepak Shetty were the top performers with the ball for Space Sports Club as they struck with 4-79 and 3-94 respectively.
In reply, Space Sports Club scored 259 as they were bowled out in 68 overs. Shubham Dubey scored an undefeated 136 to lead the run chase from the front. Dubey’s century went in vain as the rest of the batters failed to step up. On the other hand, Ishant Mulchandani and Kumar Boresa had a great outing with the ball as they scalped 4-41 and 4-65 respectively.
Centurion Sourabh Singh helped Nirlon Sports Club beat Space Sports Club by 46 runs in the semi-final of ‘B’ Division during the MCA Corporate Trophy.
Played at Zorastrian Wicket, Cross Maidan, WNS after being put to bat first posted 170/10 in 37.1 overs. WNS at one stage were in deep trouble with their top and middle order getting collapse but it was their tailenders who saved the match. Harsh and Shreyansh at no.10 and 11 stitched a crucial 85 run stand which pushed the team to a respectable total. Harsh scored 36* off 40 balls while Shreyash scored 38 runs at no.11
Index Automotive in reply were cleaned up for 57 runs courtesy tight bowling performance from WNS Bowlers. Shiva with 3/11 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot alongwith Bashan who took 3/1. Harsh Mishra who scored 36* also contributed with the ball taking 2/10 in 6 overs including 3 maidens making it an all round performance helping WNS win the match by 113 runs.

On March 23, DTDC Express Ltd. took on DMCC Sports Club. The two teams met in the first semi-final of ‘C’ Division during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. DMCC Sports Club won the toss and elected to bowl first.
DTDC Express Ltd. piled up a competitive score of 8-292 in 40 overs. Maxwell Swaminathan led the team’s batting from the front as he muscled a power-packed 88. Swaminathan received good support from Vaibhav Patil (63), Omkar Ghule (50) and Siddharth Ghule (43), who made useful contributions with the bat. On the other hand, Vishveshwar Singh was the pick of the bowlers for DMCC Sports Club as he scalped 4-40.
In reply, DMCC Sports Club scored 244 as they were bowled out in 38.5 overs. Lalit Sharma (79) and Jagdish Jadhav (52) struck delectable half-centuries. However their effort went in vain as there was no support from the other batters. On the other hand, Yogesh Sawant starred with the ball for DTDC Express Ltd. as he bagged 3-35.

Played at Central Maidan in Thane, Surve Sports Club after being put to bat first posted a total of 119/8 in 20 overs. Opener Darshan Mohite was the top scorer with 36 runs for Surve Sports Team. From the bowlers, Vaibhav Mali with 4/19 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot.
Defending a low total of 120 runs, Surve Sports restricted Kwality Sports Club to 100 all out in 16 overs courtesy a match winning bowling spell by left arm spinner Yasin Shaikh. Yasin returned with impactful bowling figures of 4/7 in 4 overs including a maiden which helped his team win the match by 19 runs. Yasin continues to impress with the ball as he continued his good form with the ball in Dreamz 40 overs Tournament too taking 4/10 in 8 overs including 3 maidens representing Index Automotive Team at Cross Maidan.

On March 22, Aruprit Tigers locked horns against RBL Bank Ltd. during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. Aruprit Tigers won the toss and elected to bat first.
Aruprit Tigers posted a respectbale score of 9-200 in 40 overs. Hrushikesh Pawar led the team’s batting from the front as he crafted a delectable 104. Pawar played some good looking shots during his entertaining knock, scoring more than half of the team runs. On the other hand, Preet Nanda was the pick of the bowlers for RBL Bank Ltd. as he scalped 4-32.
In reply, RBL Bank Ltd. scored 73 as they were bowled out in 26.3 overs. Apart from Ravi Parmar (30), none of the other batters looked in shape. On the other hand, Pawar, who had a great outing with the bat, starred with the ball too, as he picked up 6-10. Simaant Dubey bowled well in tandem with Pawar as he struck with 3-17.

Batting first, Kokilaben D. Ambani Hospital were bundled out for 173 in 34 overs. Shreyas Gurav (61) and Anand Surve (53) registered half-centuries to take their team to a respectable total. For Peak Performanz, Tushar Bathe was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 4-21.

Riding on twin centuries from Devansh Kaj (133) and Naresh Saradara (119), TMC Recreational Club posted a mammoth total of 4-324 in 40 overs against Ocwen Financial Solutions P.L. Kaj and Saradara tore apart the opposition bowling attack as the duo smashed them all around the park. Ocwen Financial Solutions P.L.’s bowlers had an off day since they had no answers to the questions posed by Kaj and Saradara.
In reply, Ocwen Financial Solutions P.L. scored 184 in 31.1 overs as they were bowled out by a disciplined bowling attack of TMC Recreational Club. Despite Datta Prasad Sarang (80) and Prasad Patade (59) mustering half-centuries, Ocwen Financial Solutions P.L. failed to cross the line. For TMC Recreational Club, Dashrath Walodara and Dinesh Shirsat were the leading wicket-takers as they scalped 3-32 and 3-40 respectively.

On March 22, Somaiya Sports Academy locked horns against Mumbai Fire Brigade during the MCA Corporate Trophy tournament. Somaiya Sports Academy won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Somaiya Sports Academy posted 149 in 34.2 overs against Mumbai Fire Brigade. For Somaiya Sports Academy, Omair Babi top scored with a delectable 88 but failed to find able allies. Babi was the lone warrior in the fight. On the other hand, Mumbai Fire Brigade had a good day with the ball, thanks to Kiran Davane, who struck with 3-40. Davane claimed a hat-trick as he scalped all the three wickets in consecutive balls.
In reply, Mumbai Fire Brigade completed the formalities in just 21.3 overs as they cruised to a comprehensive seven-wicket win over Somaiya Sports Academy. Yash Samgiskar (55 not out) and Milind Aarekar (51 not out) were the twin half-centurions for Mumbai Fire Brigade as they made lightwork of the chase. Buram’s innings was embellished with 11 boundaries. He found able allies in Maitrik Thakkar (44 runs off 39 balls) and Shubham Shewale (47 runs off 39 balls), who made useful contributions with the bat to help Dream Mills cross the 300-run mark. For M.S.P.G.C.L. Cricket Club Mumbai, Prasenjit Mohite was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped 2-31 in four overs.

Kunal Sawardekar (46 runs off 88 balls), who came in at number three was the lone warrior as none of the other batters contributed with the bat for M.S.P.G.C.L Cricket Club Mumbai. First with the bat and then with the ball, Shubham Shewale had a great outing as the left arm spinner wreaked havoc picking up 4-30 in eight overs.
