Ved Tendulkar’s unbeaten 121 in just 62 deliveries put Koli Cricket Foundation against the Salgaonkar Sports Club in a commanding position in the Milestone U-13 Cricket Tournament. Batting first, Koli Cricket Foundation lost an early wicket but opener Aditya Jaiswal and Ved Tendulkar put on a show as they scored 152 runs together. Ved went on to stay unbeaten with 121 and 3 sixes to his name but unfortunately Jaiswal lost an opportunity to score a hundred as he was dismissed for 99. Regardless his 84-ball inning was a crucial one which allowed Tendulkar to open his arms. Koli Cricket Foundation scored a mammoth 288 in 30 overs just losing their 2 openers.

With a comfortable target to defend, the bowlers went on the attack and restricted Salgaonkar Sports Club for just 127 in 30 overs picking up 9 wickets. Ved was declared The Man of The Match for his sublime century.

The Cricket Club of Young Maharashtra was bundled up for a subpar 126 in 36 overs against Goregaon Sports Club in the Purshottam Shield. Daksh Agarwal and Aryan Patni bowled exceptional spells for Goregaon SC as they picked up 3 wickets each. Young Maharashtra had no response and were bowled up for a low score. The runchase was as easy as it could get for Goregaon SC as Vedant Gadia hammered a quick-fire unbeaten 76 and Jiniv Joshi’s 44* saw them chase the target under 21 overs. A dominant performance from the team secured their victory in the first round of the Purshottam Shield.

Mumbai Police Gymkhana kicked off their Purshottam Shield Campaign with a victory against National CC. Batting first, National CC managed to score only 202 as they were bowled out in just 38 overs. Aaditya Srivastava high scored with 62 to his name. Yogesh Patil bowled an extremely crucial spell claiming 4 wickets and giving away just 27. He was well supported by Amit Jadhav who claimed 3 wickets for the team. It was an easy yet tricky runchase for Mumbai Police as they just managed to chase it down with 2 wickets in hand. Batsman Shrikant Limbole and Rohit Pol scored timely half centuries to see their team home.

The white ball Purshottam Shield continues to produce intense unreal matches. Karnataka SC and Shivaji Park Gymkhana pitted against each other and by the end were level on scores as the game  was tied. Shivaji Park Gymkhana won the toss and elected to field handing over the reigns of batting to their opponents. Both the teams scored the twin runs of 242 in 45 overs which resulted in a tie. Cricketers from Karnataka SC delivered a powerful performance. Batsman Ankeet Chauhan delivered 92 runs as bowler Varun Joijode picked up 3 wickets. Shivaji Park Gymkhana left no stone unturned to race for scoring runs as Sahil Gode scored 69 runs and Roopkumar Yadav scored an aggressive 59 runs. The game came to an end as both the teams scored the same amount of runs.

Another dominant game in the white ball Purshottam Shield by MIG Cricket Club aagainst Regal Cricket Club. MIG Cricket Club claimed victory by a difference of 111 runs. Scoring 272/10 in 44.3 overs, MIG were well ahead in the game. Remarkable performance was exhibited by Atharva Ankolekar who scored 60 runs along with his teammates, Kaushal Valsangkar and Vedant Murkar scoring 57 and 53 respectively adding the score to the scoreboard. Regal CC managed only 161 in 42 overs as they were bowled out. Shivaji Yadav and Shreyas Gurav scalped 3 each in the competition.

In an intense game of Purshottam Shield, Sind Sports Club claimed victory over New Hind SC by 7 runs. New Hind SC won the toss and elected to field. With their exceptional skills with the bat, Sind Sports Club achieved the feat of 288 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. Batsman Khan Awais Naushad performed effortlessly on the scored 61 runs as Aditya Dhumal scored 58 runs with Sumit Meher scoring 44 runs. A defendable target, Karan Shah absolutely left Sind in splits as he hammered a ton in just 37 deliveries. After his dismissal, Pranav Kela held the fort but in vain as New HInd fell short by just 7 runs.

In another game of Purshottam Shield, PJ Hindu Gymkhana trumped Young Comrade by 53 runs to emerge victorious. Jash Ganiga scored a brilliant 56 in a low scoring game as PJ Hindu managed a modest target of 190. Mayuresh Tandel scalped 4 as Vedant Patil took 3. A relatively easy target to chase, Young Comrade found themselves in trouble as PJ Hindu’s Amogh Bhatkal scalped 3 wickets giving away just 10 runs. Ultimately, Young Comrade were bowled out for just 137 in 32 overs.

Bhatnagar emerged victorious in their first round against the Cricket Club of India in the Purshottam Shield. CCI’s grand total of 299 seemed enough as Sagar Chhabria hammered a 101 as Sujit Nayak scored half century of his own to help their cause while Monil Soni picked up 3 wickets. Chasing a stiff target, Bhatnagar’s Ajit Yadav made the chase happen by contributing an unbeaten 98 turned the tables around. Fenil Soni scored 76 as he contributed crucial runs. Penalty runs of 20 didn’t help CCI’s defence either as it ultimately cost them the vistory.

Parel Sporting defeated the mighty DY Patil in the first round of the Purshottam Shield. Ashutosh Ghagre was the star of the match as he contributed heavily towards bowling out DY Patil for just 186 by picking up for 4 wickets. Vinit Dhulap also had a hand as he picked up 3 wickets. While chasing a relatively easy target, Parel Sporting found themselves in trouble as well but Ghagre stepped up and contributed 46 with the bat as well alongside Sumeir Zaveri’s 47. With a close finish, Parel Sporting won with an over and 4 wickets to spare.

A dominating display of bowling by Sachin Bhosale who purchased 5 wickets and gave away only 11 runs made sure Victory CC have the upper hand in their competition against Fort Vijay. Atharva Poojary supported him well as he picked up 3 wickets, bundling up Fort Vijay for just 79. Needless to say, Victory CC’s runchase was a cake walk yet they lost 4 wickets but managed to win it with 6 wickets in hand. Abul Kalam took 3 Victory CC wickets but in vain.
