Left arm spinner Yogesh Dicholkar also contributed heavily by picking up 4 wickets. With an impressive bowling effort, Parsee Gymkhana were able to bowl them out in just 20 overs.

Sagar Mishra was the star of the bowling unit as he claimed a 5 wicket haul and let go only 38 runs away. His bowling companion Himanshu Singh also took 3 wickets for 12 runs. Parkophene were not pulling any punches this game as they chased the simple target of 86 in under 6 overs. The top 3 batsmen hammered the bowlers as if it was their last round in the nets, winning the game by 7 wickets in hand.

Sainath SC won by a huge margin against the Muslim United SC in the ongoing Purshottam Shield. Batting first Sainath SC hammered a whopping 310 in 45 overs. Umesh Gurjar hammered the bowlers all over the park. Alongside him, Yash Chavan and Makarand Patil also notched up half centuries of their own. Despite of the massive total, two bowlers in particular stood out for Muslim United SC. Tanay Khandeshi picked up 3 wickets giving only 31 runs away while Ruturaj Sane picked up 4/55 in the game.
With a huge score to defend, Sainatch SC were on the attack. After picking up 4, Sane scored an immaculate century to attempt to win the game for Muslim United but unfortunately he was fighting single handedly as they were bowled out for just 242 in 41.3 overs. Mayur Mangela picked up 4 wickets as Sainath SC won by 68 runs.

In the ongoing Purshottam Shield, DPC won a low scoring game against Payyade SC. After winning the toss, DPC elected to bowl first which in hindsight worked out well for them. They were successful in bowling the mighty Payyade for just 173. Japjeet Randhawa was the only batsman who scored above 50 in the game. An exceptional spell by Yogesh Sawant of 4/25 helped their bid to try and qualify for the quarters. It wasn’t as easy as DPC thought it would be. Payyade players put up an enduring fight but unfortunately the runs were too few. DPC successfully managed to chase down the target with 6 overd left and 4 wickets in hand.

After an impressive Syed Mushtaq Ali, ace batsmen Shivam Chaudhary carried his form to the Vijay Hazare Trophy as he scored a match-winning century. An incredible team effort by the Indian Railways helped them win their second league game against Pondicherry. Batting first, Pondicherry scored a competitive total of 289 in 50 overs. Paras Dogra hammered an incredible ton and was well supported by Arun Karthik (80 off 109). For the Railways, the pick of the bowler being Susheel Kumar by picking up 4 wickets in his 10 overs.
Chasing a stiff target, Vivek Singh and Shivam notched up an opening partnership of 56. Chaudhary and wicketkeeper Upendra Yadav (61 off 65) partnered up for century partnership. Shivam ended up with 115 to his name. A late flourish of shots by Shubham Choubey (36 off 23) impacted the run chase. With a collective batting effort, the Indian Railways were able to chase down the target in the final over of the game winning it by just 3 wickets in hand.
In the ongoing 30-over Milestone U-13 Cricket Tournament, Koli Cricket Foundation blew off any sort of competition from Achievers Cricket Academy. Batting first, Koli CF scored 149 in 30 overs losing 6 wickets. Opener Aaradhya Chinchgharkar carried the innings as he contributed 42 off 68 deliveries. Shashwat Naik was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets at an economy of 5 run per over.
With a decent bowling performance by Achievers CA, it was their game to lose but Moksh had other plans. Moksh Khanted bowled the spell of his life against Achievers CA. He only required 5 overs to claim 5 wickets and gave away only 15 runs. Achievers CA were bowled out for an embarrassing 79.

23 Year old Yashraj Joshi is outperforming his competitors by a margin in the Tajwala Tournament, Saurashtra. The batter scored 231 in just 4 games with an incredible average of 77. But, apart from his impressive batting prowess, Joshi is as tough as one can get. Prior to competing for Saurashtra, Joshi represented the mighty Mumbai in the U-14 and U-16 categories. He was also one of the standbys for the U-19 Mumbai team. His talent was appreciated but his character was recognized. Competing in the cut-throat maidans of Mumbai made him internally robust to any situations.
After his early years in Mumbai, Yashraj’s father was transferred to Porbandar, Saurashtra. Leaving Mumbai at 19, he sought out to find success in a different state. With a chip on his shoulder, Joshi was willing to do whatever it took to make it to the top but, due to the coronavirus outbreak, his journey was halted. As soon as cricket was up and running, Yashraj impressed the new selectors with his performances. Naturally, he was selected for the U-25 Saurashtra probables for two years running.
Just as things were looking good, tragedy struck. Yashraj Joshi’s father was no more. With a heavy heart and a burdened back, Yashraj stepped back on the field. This time not just playing for himself but his father too.
Since his father’s passing in 2021, Yashraj has notched up incredible performances. One of the recent showings was in the Inter-District Tajwala One-Day Tournament. Representing Porbandar in 4 games, he has scored 3 fifties at quick rates. 64 off 52 Against the Rajkot Rural, 75 off 76 versus Bhavnagar District and the best of the lost against Jamnagar, 83 off mere 57 balls. His innings against Jamnagar is highly rated, not because of the amount of runs but the magnitude of the impact it had on the game.
With numerous match winning knocks under his belt, Yashraj Joshi has made name for himself in the state of Saurashtra. After being left out of the squad, this year, he is finally expected to represent the Saurashtra U-25.
The 6th game of the Mumbai Real Cricket Foundation U-14 Cup was between MIG Cricket Club and Sanjeevani Cricket Club-Red. After electing to bat first, Sanjeevani Red managed a total of only 193 in 40 overs. The MIG bowlers made sure to restrict the batsman and did a fine job. Jay Nadar from Sanjeevani was the top scorer with 41 runs under his belt as he faced almost 10 overs by himself.
A target of 193 was a relatively easy one to chase down but MIG struggled throughout and were eventually bowled out for 164. An incredible spell by Sourish Deshpande made sure Sanjeevani CC Red secure the victory by 29 runs. He was rightfully adjudged as the Man Of The Match.

The 3rd match in the 1st Edition of the JFSC Super Cup was between Somaiya Sports Academy and CFF Fire Flyers were the latter prevailed comfortably over the former. The Team Lead of CFF Fire Flyers Mr. Vijay Kumar, flew in specially from Goa to witness this encounter, such was the magnitude of the tournament. Mr. Kumar will soon enough join the team in the upcoming games to compete in the JFSC Cup.
After winning a crucial toss, CFF Fire Flyers elected to bowl first which worked in their favor as they were able restrict Somaiya Sports Academy for just 126 in 20 overs. Arbaz Reza was the lone warrior, high scoring in the innings with 43 to his name. The bowling display was strained enough as no batsman other than Arbaz was able to cross 15 runs. The pick of the bowler’s being Rajesh Aswani who picked up 3 wickets in his spell of 4 overs. Kanish Patel’s 4 over-spell was handy too as he picked up 2 crucial wickets at an economy of 6 runs per over. Kanish’s opening bowling partner, Anish Pevekar picked up a wicket and was awarded the Tierra Economical Bowler Of The Match for an impressive economy of 5.25.
With a relatively small target to chase, Somaiya were off to a safe start. After losing a wicket early, Hemant (27 off 35) and Vaibhav Sethi (42 off 37) carried the innings with a 62 run partnership. After their dismissal. Nikhil Pingulkar stayed unbeaten till the final run was scored by facing 26 balls and scoring 32. Anikter Pawonji was the bowler of the game for his spell of 3/14 in 2 overs but unfortunately his efforts were in vain.
A complete team effort of the CFF Fire Flyers resulted in a comfortable victory. Vaibhav Sethi was awarded the Man Of The Match for his anchoring innings.

The Jolly Friends Sports Club’s (JFSC) edition 1 of the JFSC Cup continues to produce incredible games and performances. On the 11th of November, Navi Mumbai Ninjas took on the Accenture Cricket Club in a tight game of T-20 cricket.
Winning the toss, Navi Mumbai Ninjas elected to set a target. For them, opener Rajesh Menon outclassed every other batsman as he hammered an emphatic 83 in just 59 with 7 boundaries and 3 sixes. Unfortunately for the team, he was the only batter who clicked leaving him alone to battle the bowlers of Accenture CC. A commendable bowling performance made sure the Navi Mumbai Ninjas were restricted to just 148. Darshan picked up 2 wickets as the bowlers around him supported with incredibly economical spells. Zaid Momin in particular bowled with an economy of just 3.5 overs and was also awarded “Economical Bowler of The Match” for the same.
With the bowlers doing their job, it was up to the batsman of Accenture to complete the run chase. Pratik Surve provided the team with a flying start by scoring 41 off just 32. After losing a wicket early, Pratik and Leon F carried the innings with a partnership of 91 to nail down the Navi Mumbai Ninjas. With 61 to his name, Leon’s innings helped Accenture as he hit 7 boundaries and a six in his 47-ball stint. Despite Parag Raj’s spell of 2/15, it wasn’t enough to defend the target.
Accenture Cricket Club comfortably won by 5 wickets and 8 balls to spare. Leon F was adjudged as the Man of The Match for his game-winning knock.
